We started DEOS because as second generation Canadians we have seen first hand how hard minorities work to get ahead when they come to North America. Unfortunately, we have also learned that hard work and education is simply not enough to get ahead.

After going through schooling and working corporate jobs we learned that; 

​

1. Times have changed. Even with the best education and credentials if you don't understand culture, networking, image, taxes, finance, and business you might as well start from square one.

​

2. Health (mental, emotional, physical, spiritual) is paramount. Newcomers, people of colour and minorities need holistic understanding of all their needs and that includes business services, too.

 

3. North America is Not Ready Yet (but these services will help - click here to learn more). It does not have proper corporate infrastructure to properly embrace and appreciate the large numbers of diverse people and international talent it is attracting. This is resulting in frustrated and underemployed people of colour and immigrants yearning to cut their losses and return home or bounce to a new country. Not to mention Indigenous people that are leaving their communities for better opportunities only to be alienated, misunderstood or worse in corporate spaces.

We want to share what we have learned about entrepreneurship, work, health, and culture so that immigrants, people of colour, and minorities no longer had to waste a generation or more trying to get ahead on bad intel.
